On June 11, 2024, a round table on religious security and countering manifestations of extremism and terrorism among young people was held on the basis of the Center for Habilitation and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities in the Abai region. The round table was organized by the lecturer of the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Rehabilitation named afterTusupova D. M. Dauletzharova Zh. K., who introduced the residents of the 1g/o rehabilitation centers on this topic. During the lecture, J. Dauletzharova She explained the main features of religious extremism, gave examples from world and modern history. During the educational and explanatory work, residents’ opinions on the current religious situation were interviewed and answers to the questions asked by the students were given. The ultimate goal of this round table is to comprehend and differentiate the relationship between the concepts of “extremism”, “terrorism”, “radicalism”, “fascism”, determine the functions of religion in society, prevent extremism and terrorism, and form immunity against the ideology of destructive religious movements.
