Abay Kunanbayev (1845-1904), great poet of the Kazakh people, philosopher – humanist, composer, jewelry master of artistic expression.

In 2023,on November 29, students of the 1226 curatorial group of the Department of General Educational Disciplines “Semey Medical University” (curator G.K. Tokabayeva) visited the State Historical-Cultural and Literary-Memorial Museum-Reserve of Abai “Zhidebay-Borili”.

The Literary and Memorial Museum of Abai was founded on December 16, 1940 in the city of Semipalatinsk on the 95th anniversary of the birth of the Kazakh poet, founder of Kazakh written literature Abai Kunanbayev.

The main purpose of the visit to the museum was to awaken students’ interest in learning the history of our nation, in particular, the history of Abaye Kunanbayev, instilling in the youth feelings of patriotism and love for their country.

Students were presented with information about the history of the museum.  Exhibits were presented to the attention of the visitors, which Abay himself gave to the local lore museum of the city during his lifetime. The students saw and heard Abai’s words of edification. After visiting the museum, students received a lot of interesting and useful information.[/vc_column_text]
