Results of the Olympiad in anesthesiology and resuscitation!

08.11.2023 On January 10, an Olympiad was held among 5th year students in the discipline “Anesthesiology and Reanimatology”, organized by assistants of the Department of Hospital Surgery, Anesthesiology and Reanimatology of SMU, NCJSC – Alpishcheva S.V., Muratkhanova Zh.M. and Tleubaeva M.B., headed by acting. Professor of the department Syzdykbaev M.K. The purpose of the Olympiad was for students to study the discipline more deeply and consolidate their acquired knowledge in anesthesiology and resuscitation, to provide an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in saving and preserving human life in emergency conditions and to evaluate their “competitiveness.”

The Olympics took place in two stages. Stage I – Testing took place in the Lecture Hall at the University of SMU, NCJSC. At the first stage, 40 students participated. Based on the results of Stage 1, 14 participants were selected to participate in Stage 2. Stage II – Situational tasks, took place at the Department of Hospital Surgery, Anesthesiology and Reanimatology, in which students had to make a diagnosis and show an algorithm of practical skills in critical situations. The evaluation was carried out by a professional jury. At the end of the two stages, the points were summed up and the winners were determined. 1st place went to student 5230 group Bazarbek Alimzhan, 2nd place went to students 5153 group Rasul Hamad and student 5110 group Zhumataeva Balzhan, 3rd place went to students 5149 group Salil Chisty and student 5129 group Kiyakbaeva Dinara. The winners demonstrated theoretical and practical training, mastery of professional skills, and the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
