Simulation training in medicine is one of the modern technologies for practical training of healthcare professionals, based on developing practical skills to the point of automation, making quick decisions, developing communication skills and working in a team to reduce the number of professional errors.
Residents of the Ust-Kamenogorsk branch of City Hospital № 4 of NJSC “MUS”, 1-2 years of study in the specialty “Allergology and Immunology (adults, children)” periodically attended a simulation class during the academic year.
While in the simulation class, they were trained to practice skills in respiratory, cardiovascular diseases and situations of deadly manipulations and interventions for the patient, and to provide first aid in emergency conditions. First of all, for us, this is a safe, reliable educational environment for teaching clinical skills, providing opportunities to develop, maintain and improve clinical competence, noted by residents.
