Residency in the speciality “Gastroenterology (adult, children)”

On the basis of the departments of internal diseases and rheumatology of “Medical University of Semey” NCJSC training of young specialists in residency in the speciality of residency “Gastroenterology (adult, children)” is carried out. Residency in the speciality “Gastroenterology (adult, children)” is trained for 2 years. This educational programme is aimed at comprehensive full training in the timely diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of common and rare diseases of the digestive system.

In the specialty of residency “Gastroenterology (adult, children)” at the present time are trained 4 residents of 1 year of training and 4 residents of 2 years of training, of which 6 residents are trained on the basis of the Department of Gastroenterology of the University Hospital of “Medical University of Semey”, 4 residents – on the basis of the university branch in Ust-Kamenogorsk city and 2 residents – on the basis of the university branch in Pavlodar city. Residents under the guidance of academic and clinical mentors are trained in medical skills of examination of diagnostics and treatment of patients, dialogue with patients and colleagues in compliance with the principles of medical ethics and deontology, apply theoretical knowledge in practice and actively participate in clinical judgements and consiliums, in discussion and implementation of new modern methods of diagnostics and treatment. Residents with academic tutors during offline and online sessions, residents discuss current clinical guidelines, classifications, diagnostic and treatment methods. They participate in scientific research and publish their work together with academic mentors. Interns received full answers to their questions.
