On November 12, 2024, the regular meeting of the student scientific circle on neurology was held at the UG NAO “MUS”. There were 15 students present, including 3rd-5th year students, residents, department assistants Filippova N.A., Kirillova E.V.
Two reports were heard during the meeting. The first report was made by the assistant of the department Filippova N.A. on the topic: “The main strategies for successful writing of a student scientific article.” The presentation covered the main steps of writing a scientific paper, and the students also got acquainted with recommendations for choosing a research topic, examples of formulating correct scientific hypotheses in neurology.
Then the head of the circle, 3rd year student of group 3628 Karibzhanova A.E. took the floor. The girl made a report on the topic: “Overview of modern trends and innovative research methods in neurology.” According to The Lancet and WHO, more than 3 billion people worldwide suffer from one or another neurological pathology. In this regard, the issue of developing and improving methods for diagnosing and treating nervous diseases is really actual. Neurology keeps up with the times. The report provided an overview of the main areas of development and the latest discoveries in neurology, such as: genetic diagnostics and genetic editing, detection of diseases based on biomarkers, the use of artificial intelligence in the diagnosis and prognosis of neurological diseases, innovative methods of instrumental diagnostics, and more.
Students learned about the latest scientific research in this area. The guys were involved in the discussion and actively asked questions. All participants received new ideas for future research, as well as motivation for current work.
