On October 2, 2024, the Institute of Analysis and Forecasting of East Kazakhstan Region hosted an important event for parents and specialists interested in a conscious approach to parenting — the event “Conscious Parenting”. More than 50 participants gathered online and offline to discuss key issues of parenting, develop emotional intelligence and learn how to communicate effectively with children.
The event was dedicated to modern approaches to parenting based on attention, respect and mutual understanding. Experts shared their knowledge and experience in such areas as:
Principles of conscious parenting and their implementation in everyday life; Development of emotional intelligence in children and parents;Psychology of communication with children: how to build trusting relationships;Methods of effective management of family conflicts and stress; Practical recommendations for the upbringing and education of children, taking into account their individual needs
Special attention at the event is paid to medical aspects, which are also an important part of caring for the health and well-being of children.
Assistants of the Department of General Medical Practice of the Ust-Kamenogorsk branch also took an active part in the event. Among them:
Yensibayeva Sh.D., a neuropathologist, gave a lecture on “Epilepsy, seizures, strokes”, in which she spoke about common neurological diseases in children and adults, as well as about important aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions.
Akhmetova S.S., an emergency medicine doctor, demonstrated algorithms for providing emergency care to children and adults. She explained how to act correctly in emergency situations when immediate medical attention is required.
M.K. Zhunusova, a gynecologist, gave a lecture on “Early pregnancy and methods of contraception”. She gave recommendations on issues that concern many young people, including family planning and early pregnancy diagnosis.
During the event, the participants not only listened to lectures, but also took part in practical classes, where they were given the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real situations. Discussions with experts and colleagues gave parents new ideas for interacting with children and creating a supportive family atmosphere.
