Applications are now being accepted for the Master’s degree program at Nagasaki University (Japan) under the MEXT program, specializing in “Disaster and Radiation Medical Sciences”. Term of study – 2 years. Study start date – October 2025.
Final year undergraduate students, interns, residents, faculty and administrative and management staff of SMU are eligible to apply.

All applicants will be invited to an interview with the university’s selection committee. Interview with the university’s selection committee will be followed by the interview with professors from Nagasaki University.
MEXT is one of the most popular international scholarship programs for international students wishing to study at universities in Japan, funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan.
Selection Criteria:
- High level of English proficiency.
- Excellent academic performance and motivation.
- An IELTS certificate is required only at the time of admission to the Master’s program if the candidate successfully passes the interview with Nagasaki University professors.
