As part of the clinician school at the MSE on PVC “Uspen DH” on October 14, 2024, a seminar on the topic “A patient with hypertension (HTN) in the family doctor’s practice” was held among the medical staff under the guidance of the academic mentor, PhD, Acting Associate Professor S.M. Adilgozhina, for the attached population. Hypertension (HTN) is a chronic condition characterized by consistently high blood pressure levels. In family practice, patients with hypertension are quite common, as it is one of the most prevalent cardiovascular diseases. To diagnose hypertension, the doctor regularly measures blood pressure and evaluates risk factors such as age, gender, chronic conditions, and family history. The treatment of hypertension aims at controlling blood pressure and preventing complications. This includes both medication and lifestyle changes, such as reducing salt intake, regular physical activity, controlling body weight, and quitting smoking. The family doctor plays a key role in the regular monitoring of the patient’s condition, adjusting treatment, and preventing cardiovascular diseases.
