Preventing skin diseases in children

As part of the clinician school at the MSE on PVC “Uspen DH” on December 5, 2024, a seminar on the topic ” Skin diseases in children” was held among the medical staff under the guidance of the academic mentor, PhD, Acting Associate Professor S.M. Adilgozhina, for the attached population.

Skin diseases in children are a widespread issue that can be either temporary or chronic. Children’s skin is characterized by high sensitivity, immature defense mechanisms, and variability, which contributes to the development of various dermatoses.
Preventing skin diseases in children involves following basic hygiene standards, using hypoallergenic skincare products, regular bathing with mild cleansing agents, and moisturizing the skin. It is important to avoid contact with allergens and infectious agents, as well as provide the child with a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals. Regular outdoor walks, strengthening the immune system, using sunscreen in warm weather, and protective creams in cold weather help prevent skin diseases. Attention should also be given to infection prevention and maintaining personal hygiene.
