On January 30, the Department of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology held an open session of residents from «peer to peer» on the method of Interprofessional training.

Integration of rheumatologists and nephrologists was devoted to the topic: “Asymptomatic hyperuricemia in chronic kidney disease”. Under the guidance of Professor of the Department Ivanova R.L. resident rheumatologists prepared reports on the topic: «Gout classic. Modern clinician’s view on gout», «Aspects of treatment of asymptomatic hyperuricemia». Resident nephrologists, under the guidance of assistant Botabaeva A.S. presented a clinical case of a patient with chronic kidney disease and asymptomatic hyperuricemia.

The topic of the lesson aroused great interest among the students, the principles of treatment of asymptomatic hyperuricemia were actively discussed and in the conclusion of the lesson the patient was given practical recommendations.
