Psychologists often encounter parents complaining about a “problem” child. – “Help, my son has become uncontrollable!”, “My daughter has stopped listening, what should I do?” Children are a reflection of the family, their behavior, relationships and personal problems of adults. But is there such a thing as a “problem child”? The answer is no! If there are conflicts, coldness or overprotection in the family, the child inevitably adopts this. – Instead of “correcting” the child, parents should look inside themselves
Digital dementia is a disorder of brain activity that entails a decrease in attention, concentration, and memory impairment due to frequent or constant use of electronic devices. Addiction to gadgets is the uncontrolled use, abuse of gadgets, which negatively affects a person’s mental and physical health, their social life. This topic became the leading one at the next meeting within the framework of the School of Preventive Medicine among the 6th year GP interns, where current issues of raising children, as well as gadget addiction, were touched upon. Negative behavior of a child is a “distorting mirror” of family problems. Aggression, anxiety, uncontrollability are ways of adapting to the situation at home. When adults work on themselves, the child becomes calmer and happier.
When constantly at the computer or gadget, a person can experience headaches, and in some cases, vision deteriorates. Such a decrease in activity does not pass without a trace for the physical condition of the body: muscle tone decreases, fat deposits accumulate, and this, in turn, leads to the emergence of a number of not only unpleasant, but also dangerous diseases of the heart and internal organs.
In their presentation, the GP interns of groups 603 and 604 told what kind of atmosphere needs to be created in the family for the harmonious development of children, and also presented an evidence base of the destructive influence of gadgets on the cognitive development of young children
