Acute respiratory infections are the most common reason for the population to seek outpatient medical care. Influenza is a rather serious disease characterized by high contagiousness and the possibility of complications. The high variability of the antigenic structure of the influenza virus causes the lack of stable immunity and the transformation of the virus into new pathogenic strains.

So, on January 29, 2025, the Department of General Medical Practice in Semey, NAO “MUS” organized a meeting with parents and high school students of secondary school No. 15.

The seminar was led by the head of the Department, MD, Professor A.A. Dyusupova, assistant of the department Dosbaeva A.M.,Terekhova T.I. The purpose of this seminar was to highlight the main preventive measures for acute respiratory viral infections and influenza.

The interns of the 716 GP group prepared a colorful presentation containing important information about preventive measures such as vaccination, personal hygiene, the use of a medical mask or respirator, limiting contact with potentially sick people, and immune support. Parents and students actively participated in the discussion of the seminar topic, asked questions, to which they received comprehensive answers. The parents of the students thanked the staff of the department and the interns for the interesting seminar.
