Sanitary and educational work with parents on creating a safe environment for children

Sanitary and educational work was carried out by 1-year resident pediatricians Kiyubaeva B.B., Azymbaeva Zh. Zh. Clinical mentor Akhmetzhanova D.O., Kozhanova A.S. They explained to parents the measures to create a safe environment for children, prevent injuries, poisoning and accidents. In recent years, several cases of children falling from windows and poisoning with household chemicals have been registered in Pavlodar.

One of the most important responsibilities of parents is to prevent injury to children.

The occurrence of injuries and poisoning is facilitated by the curiosity of children, their incredible mobility, undeveloped coordination of movements, lack of life experience and sense of danger. In the overwhelming majority of cases, children themselves climb onto the windowsill, using furniture, lean on the mosquito net and fall out with it. Accidents usually occur due to the lack of supervision of the child by adults, their absent-mindedness and carelessness. This is facilitated by poorly thought-out furniture arrangement that allows the child to climb onto the windowsill, windows left open, mosquito nets that create the illusion of safety. While children are small, it is necessary to control their every step, not to leave them alone at home, including when they are sleeping.

There are also cases of hospitalization and death of children as a result of poisoning with drugs and various types of substances used in everyday life.

And adults are primarily to blame for this. Never leave a bottle of household chemicals or other dangerous chemical, medical or food products unattended.

As they grow older, you need to explain how to behave in certain situations, what safety measures should be followed.
