Implementation of the “Learning through Learning” Program

To improve the pedagogical competencies of residency students, it is necessary to conduct practical classes at the bachelor’s and internship levels. The “learning through learning” principle is provided for by the Regulation on the “Learning through Learning” program, developed and approved on February 6, 2024 at the NCJSC SMU. This regulation applies to all educational programs/specialties of the SMU and to residency students.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, the following classes were conducted at the Department of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology by residents of three specialties:

– elective discipline “Outpatient Rheumatology”, 2nd year resident in the specialty “Adult and Pediatric Rheumatology” Serikova T., responsible teacher Rymbaeva T.Kh., 624 group of general practitioners;

– elective discipline “Modern tactics of management the patients with gastroenterological profile”, 2nd-year resident in the specialty “Adult and pediatric gastroenterology” Togaybekova M., responsible teacher Zhumadilova Z.K., 614 general practitioner group;

– discipline “UGS. Nephrology”, 2nd-year resident in the specialty “Adult and pediatric nephrology” Bauyrzhan A.O., responsible teacher Botabaeva A.S., 4422 general practitioner group;

– discipline “UGS. Nephrology”, 2nd-year resident in the specialty “Adult and pediatric nephrology” Mukhtarova A.M., responsible teacher Botabaeva A.S., 4311 general practitioner group;

– discipline “MPS. Nephrology”, 2nd year resident in the specialty “Adult and Pediatric Nephrology” Baurzhan A.O., responsible teacher Muzdubayeva Zh.E., 456 GM group.

It is necessary to actively implement this Program and involve all residents in the educational process to improve their clinical and pedagogical competencies.
