The Department of General Medical Practice of Semey, under the leadership of Professor A.A. Dyusupova, regularly organizes events in schools in Semey dedicated to a healthy lifestyle, sexual education, metabolic syndrome prevention, and other health-related topics.
As part of this initiative, a preventive medical examination was conducted at Secondary School No. 3 in Semey with the participation of intern doctors from Group 601 of the General Medical Practice Department and faculty members O.A. Yurkovskaya, G.T. Kamasheva, and T.M. Belyaeva. This event was not only an important part of the healthcare system but also a concrete step in implementing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Children’s health is the foundation of a prosperous society. Preventive examinations help to identify potential health issues at an early stage, monitor students’ physical development, and instill a culture of health awareness.
During the examination, the following procedures were carried out:
✔ Vision and hearing check-ups
✔ Measurement of height, weight, and blood pressure
✔ Vaccination according to the National Immunization Schedule
✔ Educational discussions on healthy nutrition and the prevention of infectious diseases
This initiative plays a crucial role in protecting children’s health, preventing diseases, and contributing to sustainable development goals.
