On 04/07/2025, the Department of General Educational Disciplines held an intra-university Olympiad in the Kazakh language among first-year foreign students to determine their level of proficiency in the state language, dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev. The Olympiad consisted of 2 stages. Stage 1 – composing a text on the proposed topic, stage 2 – answering 3 questions related to everyday life situations. The students’ answers were assessed by the Deputy Dean of the School for Foreign Students, A.E. Omarova, and the teacher of the Department of General Educational Disciplines, B.T. Shakirova. According to the results of the Olympiad, the winners were:

1st place – Sushree Upadhaya, student of group 1501,  “Medicine” faculty

2nd place – Khawaja Mohammad Owais, student of group 1503,  “Medicine” faculty

2nd place – Ifra Noor, student of group 1503,  “Medicine” faculty

3rd place – Dikshita Sen, student of group 1501,  “Medicine” faculty

3rd place – Mayank Bhatt, student of group 1502,  “Medicine” faculty

3rd place – Ronak Singhal, student of group 1507,  “Medicine” faculty
