The Ombudsman is a person appointed by the Board of Directors, whose role is to advise the Company’s employees who have applied to him, participants in labor disputes, conflict and assist them in developing a mutually acceptable, constructive and implementable solution, taking into account compliance with the norms of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (including confidentiality, if necessary), assistance in solving problematic socio-economic problems.labor issues, as well as compliance with the principles of business ethics by the Company’s employees.
The Ombudsman carries out his activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other normative legal acts, the Regulation on the Ombudsman of Semey Medical University, NCJSC and other internal documents of the Company.
The main principles of the Ombudsman’s work are independence, neutrality and impartiality, confidentiality and informality.
The main functions of the Ombudsman are:
- collecting information on non-compliance with the provisions of the Code of Business Ethics;
- consultation of employees and officials on the provisions of the Code of Business Ethics;
- consideration of appeals from employees of the Company against actions (inaction) of employees and decisions (acts) of officials of the Company;
- assistance to the Company’s employees in the settlement of conflicts (disputes) at an early stage before their transfer to judicial authorities, settlement out of court;
- giving recommendations to the Company’s officials on the settlement of conflicts (disputes) on the received appeals;
- development of recommendations for the resolution and prevention of conflicts (disputes) of a systemic nature;
- conducting necessary meetings, meetings, consultations, discussions with employees of the Company, representatives of government agencies and organizations, as well as listening to employees of the Company on received applications.
By the decision of the Board of Directors of Semey Medical University, NCJSC dated January 30, 2023, Rashilya Zhunuskanovna Kazhibekova was elected Ombudsman of the Company.
