In June 2019, in connection with the reorganization of the structure of SMU, NCJSC, the Department of Scientific and Experimental Research was established, in the structure of which the Research Department was determined – by restructuring the existing department.
The purpose of creating the subdivision is to ensure the integration of scientific activities and the educational process at all levels of education in accordance with the requirements of the developed education standards, as well as to ensure the planned training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel of SMU, NCJSC.
Since April 2022, due to the reorganization of the structure of SMU, NCJSC, the Department of Science has been abolished and the Research Department has been defined as an independent structural unit.
The main goal of the R&D is to implement SMU, NCJSC strategy aimed at increasing the scientific potential and ensuring the integration of scientific activities at all levels of education, as well as ensuring the planned training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel of SMU, NCJSC.
The functions of the department are:
- planning, organizing and monitoring the scientific activities of the scientific work of employees and students of all levels: consulting when employees carry out research in scientific areas;
- organization of the educational process of educational programs of magistracy and doctoral studies;
- monitoring and coordination of the work of scientific commissions and committees of SMU, NCJSC for the effectiveness of scientific activities;
- release and promotion of the scientific publication of SMU, NCJSC – the journal “Science and Health”;
- planning, preparation and holding of international, republican scientific conferences, symposiums;
- preparation of proposals for the formation of a plan of priority scientific areas for the short and medium term;
- organization of participation in competitions for the financing of scientific research;
- rendering assistance in cooperation with scientific departments of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries in order to exchange experience and conduct joint scientific research and scientific events.
