The Student Scientific Society (SSS) of the Non-Commercial Joint Stock Company Semey Medical University is a voluntary, non-profit association of students, interns and residents of SMU, NCJSC engaged in research work, created on the basis of common interests.
SSS purposes: The creation of favorable conditions for the formation of student research competence, involving the development in students motivated by the needs of scientific researches in educational process and the ability to influence creative self-development; promoting early specialization, the formation and further improvement of professional scientific knowledge, skills, oriented to future professional activity and is the basis of formation of professional skills.
Tasks:
- Develop an interest in research activities, organization and conduct of relevant research by members of the SSS.
- Create conditions for the comprehensive, most complete development and realization of the creative and scientific potential of students.
- Select individual research topics for further development and presentation of results in the form of publications, presentations, projects, and final qualification work.
- Increase the role of the training function of the SSS: conducting thematic classes, seminars, and consultations.
- To Develop students’ skills of public presentation of research results with the active use of computer technologies.
- Attract students to participate in scientific events at various levels.
- Form cooperation between teachers and students through the exchange of information and knowledge.
