December 23, 2019 at the Department of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery was held subject Olympiad on “Topical issues of vascular surgery” dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the opening of the Olympiad with an introductory speech was made by the head of the Department of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, MD, Professor Dyussupov Altai Akhmetkalievich.
The Olympiad was held in 3 stages.
Stage 1-testing, which was attended by 44 students of the 4th year of the faculty of “General medicine”. According to the results of testing, 11 students passed the 2nd stage.
Stage 2-delivery of practical skills in patients with chronic venous insufficiency, to identify their valvular insufficiency (SKILL: functional tests to detect valvular insufficiency of veins). According to the results of the 2nd stage 6 students were selected.
Stage 3-interview (question-answer) on the topics covered with the participation of an independent Commission composed of: Dyusupov Alt. A., Masalimov E. O., Toleutaev T. A.
According to the results of the Olympiad prizes received:
The diploma of 1 degree – Aitenova Aida 4218 OM;
The diploma of 2 degrees -CNTURY Agyban 4207 OHMS;
The diploma of 2 degrees -Dildebaev Olzhas 4218 OM;
Diploma of the 3rd degree-Yktiyarova togzhan 4242 OM;
The diploma of 3 degrees – Aubakirova, Elmira 4207 OHMS;
The diploma of 3 degrees – Bidest Sabina 4207 OHMS.
At the end of the Olympiad Professor Dyussupov Altay Akhmetkalievich congratulated the winners awarding them with diplomas and memorable gifts in the form of thermos bottles, thermoses, Desk clocks and branded pens from the company “World Medicine” which acted as a sponsor of the Olympiad. In conclusion, the Altai Ahmetkalievich noted the importance of knowledge for the Department.
