In order to improve the quality of the educational process, demonstrate pedagogical qualifications, evaluate and improve the pedagogical skills of young teachers at the Department of “Dental Disciplines and Maxillofacial Surgery” according to the annual plan of the department and the “Regulations on the open lesson of the National Academy of Medical Sciences”, open classes are planned and conducted.

On October 28, 2022, a young teacher Turusbekova D. H. held an open lesson with students of group 406 of the Faculty of Dentistry. The topic of the open lesson: “Chronic periodontitis in children”, which corresponded to the calendar and thematic plan, syllabuses, blueprints of the electronic application “Keyps”.

The open lesson was attended by: head of the department, associate Professor Suleimeneva D. M., associate professor Abralina Sh. Sh., associate professor Haidarova N. B., head teacher Kasenova G. L., chief coordinator of the Faculty of Dentistry Kalikhanov K. E., directors of the committi Kabdykanov S. K., Mukhtar M. R. and assistant Kokymbekova N. M.

During the open lesson, the participants assessed the methodology of the lesson, the level of discussion and presentation of the material, the readiness and interest of students.

The lesson began with entrance tests in the application “Kahoot” to assess the level of preparation of students for the lesson (TBL). Further analysis of the topic took place according to the CBL methodology, analysis of a clinical case and discussion of educational thematic material. The analysis of situational tasks was accompanied by a discussion of X-ray images. Students have passed 3 stages of testing (introductory, intermediate, final, TBL).

Students actively participated and worked. In general, the open lesson was interesting, active and achieved its goals.

At the end of the open lesson, associate professors and assistants of the Department of “Dental Disciplines and Maxillofacial Surgery” assessed the quality of the open lesson. They discussed the methodology of the lesson, the pedagogical skills of a young novice teacher Turusbekova D. X, assessed the ability to submit material, the level of mastering the topic of the lesson and the good preparation of students.
