The third meeting of the student scientific circle on the topic: “Hip dysplasia”

On November 3, on the basis of the children’s rehabilitation center “Toktamys”, under the leadership of Alimbayeva Aliya Rakhmetullinovna, the third meeting of the student scientific circle was held, where resident rehabilitation specialists of the 1st year of study Alibek Yernar and Ablakimova Aiym made a presentation on the topic: “Hip Dysplasia”. The meeting was held not only offline, but also online, which allows participants from other cities to get useful information. The meeting was attended by residents-rehabilitologists, pediatricians, neonatologists of the 1st and 2nd years of study, as well as interns of the 6th and 7th courses.

Violations of the formation of the hip joints are currently among the most common types of congenital pathology of the musculoskeletal system in children of the first year of life. It has been proven that the success of the treatment of hip dysplasia is inversely proportional to the age of the affected child. It is very important to detect orthopedic problems in babies in a timely manner, because only early initiation of treatment and rehabilitation lead to good outcomes. Therefore, the relevance and necessity of studying this problem is undeniable, both for a rehabilitation doctor, and for a neonatologist, pediatrician.

In conclusion, a clinical example of a patient with a diagnosis of Hip Dysplasia was given, and a video of conservative treatment methods that are used in children with this problem was also demonstrated. The information provided to the audience turned out to be very relevant, the participants actively asked questions, shared their practical experience, thereby causing a discussion between the audience.

The student scientific circle is a good opportunity to improve your knowledge in other areas, to gain communicative and practical competencies.
