From November 10 to December 14, 2022, the All-Russian online Olympiad with international participation “Dream Profession” was held on the basis of the South Ural State Medical University (Chelyabinsk, Russia). 1199 students from 56 medical universities of Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad. The honor of our university was defended by students of the 401 group of the specialty “Public Health” – Zhambulova Rysty, Rahimgali Nazerke and Meiramkan Madina.
Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health, PhD Tokesheva Sh.M. took part in the work of the Organizing Committee of the Olympiad.
The Olympiad included 3 stages. The first stage of the “Test Control” took place from November 10 to 16, 2022 on the Yandex Forms platform. Our Olympians showed good knowledge of occupational hygiene of medical workers, scoring quite high points.
The second stage of the Olympiad is “Creating an information booklet” (November 24-30, 2022). At this stage, our participants demonstrated their outstanding creative abilities and knowledge of the prevention of occupational morbidity among medical workers of various specialties.
At the third stage of the competition “Creating a thematic video “Profession-dreams” (December 8-14, 2022), our participants showed creativity, demonstrated knowledge of occupational risk factors of the future profession, as well as practical skills that contribute to maintaining health and high efficiency in professional activities.
The results of the Olympiad were announced on December 30, 2022. Our participants, according to the members of the Organizing Committee, performed well at the competition and received personal certificates; associate professor Tokesheva Sh.M., professor Tokanova Sh.E. were thanked.
According to our Olympians, participation in the competition is a great way to show their knowledge and skills, it is an experience and an incentive for further growth; this large-scale project involuntarily made them think about their future profession.
