On January 24, 2023, the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Rehabilitation named after D.M. Tusupova held the Olympiad “The best graduate pediatrician for the personnel reserve “Hope”2023 ” among residents of pediatricians of Semey and Ust-Kamenogorsk. The purpose of this event is to show their knowledge and skills that residents have acquired over the years of study at the department. A total of 8 graduates participated in the Olympiad. Stage 1 was in online format from January 18 to 23, 2023: Each resident had to make a poster report on an interesting topic, and send a video response from the employer. All videos were posted on the social network Instagram, on the official page of pediatriya_semey, where an independent assessment was conducted on the number of collected likes.

The second stage of the competition to determine the best resident pediatrician was held on 24.01.2023 on the basis of the educational and clinical center of the «SMU» NCJSC in the quiz format.

The Olympiad began with an introductory speech by the head of the Department of Pediatrics named after D.M. Tusupova Alimbayeva A.R. The jury members were: Head of the Department of Pediatrics, CMS Alimbayeva A.R., head teacher of the Department Nazarbekova M.S., PhD Doctor Akhmetzhanova D.O., Ospanova A.S., chairman of the jury from the employer, director of IPMC “Venera” Turdina N.. M.

After the quiz, the results of the completed stages were summed up and 5 semi-finalists were selected, who continued to participate in the analysis of the miniclinical case.

Then the jury, summing up the results after analyzing the miniclinical case, selected three participants who competed for prizes in the format of passing practical skills. According to the results of all stages of the Olympiad, the 1st place “The best graduate pediatrician for the personnel reserve “Hope “2023 ” was awarded to resident pediatrician Alimbekova Ayauzhan, who showed the highest result. Magauina Zhuldyz took the honorable 2nd place, Yerolinova Asel took the 3rd place.

The finalists were awarded a diploma, and the winner of the Olympiad was solemnly awarded the cup “The best graduate pediatrician for the personnel reserve “Nadezhda”2023”.The rest of the participants received certificates of participation in the Olympiad.

This competition was held at a high level, all participants showed their knowledge and were very satisfied.

Resident pediatricians of 1 year of study took part in the organization and conduct of this Olympiad.
