At the Department of Dental Disciplines and MFS, a MOOC developed by Associate Professor N.B. Khaidarova on the Canvas platform is used for 5th year students in the discipline: “Diseases of the oral mucosa” and in the 3rd year of the Faculty of Dentistry in the discipline “Pathology of the hard dental tissues”.

MOOC – a convenient and accessible program that allows to improve the organization of the educational process and the formation of communicative interaction between the professor and students. A program built on the basis of pedagogical principles, implemented on the basis of technical means of modern information (information and communication) technologies and representing a logically and structurally completed educational unit, methodically provided with a unique set of systematized electronic assessment teaching aids and control and measuring materials that allow students to form the provided skills and abilities .

MOOC is a program showing educational goals, revealing the essence of the theoretical course and allowing students to develop the necessary skills, and describing the organizational forms used, as well as a complete compendium revealing the theoretical content, which has programmatic and methodological recommendations for its implementation.[/vc_column_text]
