On the eve of the national holiday “Republic Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan” on October 20, 2023, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of GMP of the Semey Medical University, Candidate of Medical Sciences Adilgozhina Saltanat Muratbekovna held a subject Olympiad in the discipline “General medical practice” among 5th year students of the foreign department. The dean of the foreign department N.A. Balashkevich made a welcoming speech.
The purpose of the Olympiad is to consolidate the knowledge acquired during the cycle. The qualifying round was held on October 16 at the department. According to the test results, 8 students out of 55 participants passed the second stage. Within the framework of the Olympiad, four exciting rounds were held, giving students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the medical field. On the 1st- 2nd round – “Own game”, where each student showed his intellectual abilities. The results of the first two rounds allowed us to identify the four most talented participants who made it to the final. On the 3rd round, students analyzed a situational task with the presentation and justification of the diagnosis, appointment of an examination plan and treatment. On the 4th round, they demonstrated practical skills in the discipline. The fans were not left without attention either. A quiz was held with them. The jury was attended by: Dean of the Foreign Department, PhD Balashkevich N.A.; PhD, Associate Professor Shalgumbaeva G.M.; assistant of the Department Saidualiev D.N. According to the results of the Olympiad , the following participants took prizes:
1st place Muqadas Mukhtar 5444
2nd place Awan Ammara Qudoos 5335
3rd place karim Hammad 5335
In conclusion, a congratulatory speech was delivered by Candidate of Medical Sciences Adilgozhina S.M., expressed gratitude to the students for participating in the Olympiad.
All the winners of the Olympiad were awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes. Another participant was awarded a consolation prize for his active participation. The University is proud of its talented students and hopes for further success in their medical careers.[/vc_column_text]
