Experience in teaching the discipline “Rheumatology” at bachelor’s degree by the “resident to student” method

In order to improve communication, organizational, practical and teaching skills, rheumatology residents of 1 year Serikova Talshyn and Bakytova Anel conducted a lesson on the topic “Osteoarthritis” for students of the foreign department, group 435, Faculty of General Medicine in the framework of training by the methodology from “resident to student” (under the direction of the teacher of this group, acting Professor Goremykina M.V.).

During the lesson, the issues of clinical, laboratory, instrumental diagnosis of Osteoarthritis and the principles of treatment were discussed. The lesson included:

  1. Written survey of students in the form of a quiz.
  2. Study of special rheumatological terms on the topic “Osteoarthritis” in English, Kazakh and Russian languages.
  3. Analysis of the topic using the CBL methodology based on the clinical situation.

At the end of the lesson, positive feedback was received from students of group 435 and residents, who conducted the lesson.
