Curatorial hour on the topic “How to take care of yourself when you are sick”

On October 30, 2023, at Semey Medical University, a teacher at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Mukasheva Gulbarshyn Darynkyzy, conducted a curatorial hour on the topic “How to take care of yourself when you are sick” with group 2508 of the “General Medicine” specialty.

Due to the cold weather, you need to support your body and take care of yourself when you are sick. The most important thing is to follow the principles of a healthy lifestyle. This is a complete balanced diet – proteins, fats, carbohydrates, maintaining calorie intake, that is, the daily energy value consumed by us should not exceed the body’s loss. There must be a daily intake of fruits and vegetables – at least 400 grams per day.

Healthy sleep should last at least 8-9 hours. Next – adherence to the drinking regime – 1.5-2 liters per day. Daily physical activity is also needed – at least 30-40 minutes a day, aerobic activity is desirable: swimming, cycling, and the best thing is walking. And, of course, giving up bad habits.
