On 06.11.2023, sanitary and educational work on measles prevention was carried out in the departments of pediatrics, otolaryngology, traumatology, surgery, maxillofacial surgery of the University State Capital of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of the Abai region of the Regional Children’s Hospital.

Under the guidance of PhD doctor, Associate Professor Akhmetzhanova D. O., 723 groups of interns of general practitioners’ specialties conducted health education on measles prevention. In their reports, they reported on the epidemiological situation in the world on the incidence of measles, that measles is a highly contagious disease transmitted by airborne droplets, and the contagion index is about 100%.

The clinic and complications of measles are fully disclosed, the algorithm of first aid to patients is explained. According to interns, the key to the formation of individual and population immunity to measles and other controlled infections is vaccination.[/vc_column_text]
