Stroke is an acute circulatory disorder in brain tissue, which characterize by high level of lethality and disability. Every year about 7million people dies because of a stroke all over the world. In according to information of medical statistics about 40 thousand people in Kazakhstan has stroke in this year, about 60% of these people gets a disability, 5% patients dies within first five days of desease. 70% people, who gets a stroke needs help from other people. Only 10% patients can returns to normal life after stroke.

Master class «Diagnostics, primary care and prevention of stroke.» for general practice intern-doctors  was held on 30-th of November 2023 by resident-doctors 1-st and 2-nd years of study, who was studying in Hospital of Semey Medical University. This event was organised by assistant of department Neurology, ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology Bikbaev R. M. together with department of general practice in Semey. Future doctors listened to the lecture about diagnostics, primary care and prevention of stroke.

Intern-doctors solved two clinical cases in the end of master-class. Also all students took part in the discussion, and asked many questions. The main goal of the event was – to learn young doctors how to diagnose stroke, give first aid, and how to do the prevention of stroke.
