Seminar “Viral intestinal infections in children. Toxicosis with exicosis in children”

On December 21, a seminar on the topic “Viral intestinal infections in children. Toxicosis with exicosis in children” was held at the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases under the leadership of Head Efendiyev I.M.

The seminar was attended by pediatric infectious diseases doctors of the regional Center of Phthisiopulmonology, resident infectious diseases specialists, and interns of GP 613 and 614 groups.

The opening speech was made by the head of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases Efendiyev I.M.

Acute intestinal infections occupy one of the leading places in the infectious pathology of childhood. According to WHO, more than 1 billion people worldwide suffer from acute gastrointestinal infectious diseases (diarrhea) every year, of which 65-70% are children under the age of 5 (https://medconfer.com/node/19153).

Assistant of the department A.A. Mansurova made a presentation on “Viral intestinal infections in children”. The presentation was continued by the assistant of the department, Dalelkanova T.D., who presented to the audience the mechanism of development, clinical picture, assessment, and therapy of dehydration in children.

In conclusion, the seminar participants asked questions and thanked the organizers of the event.
