On January 10, 2024, a regular meeting of the school of a young teacher of Semey Medical University was held. The meeting was held by the head of the school of a young teacher S.B.Maukaeva, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenerology and Immunology. 23 young teachers took part in the meeting in a mixed format (online in ZOOM and in person).

During the event, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences I.S. Mussatayeva, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of General Education Disciplines, conducted a practical training on the topic “Digital educational technologies in the educational process of Medical School”. At the beginning of the meeting, the speaker offered the audience work on various types of padlet electronic boards, where each participant published their posts on the proposed topics and questions. Further, the objectives of the use of digital technologies, their types and main formats were discussed.

The main focus was on the advantages and disadvantages of using massive open online courses (MOOCs), video lectures, case studies in LMS Keyps, SCORM packages, online conferences, webinars, e-mail, on-line questionnaires, surveys and online testing, gamification elements and other digital tools. It was noted that the main purpose of digital technologies is to influence the educational process in order to increase its efficiency and comfort, as well as control and correction of the student’s educational activities.

The speaker also demonstrated the capabilities of various platforms for hosting MOOCs and creating SCORM. In conclusion, Mussatayeva I.S. organized a Kahoot quiz to demonstrate the possibility of using online gaming technologies.[/vc_column_text]
