On January 25, 2024, under the leadership of the head of the Department of infectious diseases, dermatovenerology, immunology of the NAO MUS, doctor of medical sciences, professor Shaimardanov N.K., a seminar was organized for students of the NAO MUS on the topic: “Diagnosis and prevention of viral hepatitis A”. The seminar was held on the Zoom platform.
At the beginning of the seminar, the head of the department, N.K. Shaimardanov, E.M. Smayl spoke. According to the data provided, at the end of 2023 – early 2024, there was an increase in the incidence of viral hepatitis “A” in various regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which contributed to increasing the relevance of the problems of this disease.
Further, the presentation “Etiology, epidemiology, clinic, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of viral hepatitis “A” was made by resident K.E.Madrikov. The CAA clinic and its complications were covered in detail, and the algorithm for providing medical care to patients with CAA was presented separately.
The results of the seminar were summed up by professor N.K. Shaimardanov, answering the questions of the audience. At the end of the seminar, the organizers received feedback from the participants.
