Resident of the 2nd year of study in the specialty “adult and pediatric gastroenterology” in Pavlodar, Amanzholova G.E., under the guidance of the academic mentor Professor Zhumadilova Z.K. and clinical mentor Bender N.R. conducted classes with 6th year interns in the cycle “KV: Gastroenterology”. The classes were held at the Pavlodar City Hospital No. 3. During the classes, entrance test control, clinical analysis of a case on a new topic using interactive teaching methods and work in small groups were used. During the analysis of topics, basic data on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the most significant diseases of the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, gall bladder, small and large intestine in medical practice were discussed. During each topic, much attention was paid to the student’s work at the bedside, especially practical skills such as communication and patient examination.
