The prevalence of arterial hypertension in the world is about 34%. And in Kazakhstan, in particular, in the city of Almaty and the Almaty region, according to the Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases – 35.8%. Hypertension is a very dangerous disease that is often asymptomatic. Arterial hypertension annually determines 200 million cases of disability, being the strongest risk factor for complications: stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure, chronic kidney disease. A sick person may not attach importance to the symptoms, but notice violations after the development of complications. In recent years, the clinical picture of the disease has been “getting younger”, and children and adolescents are increasingly turning to cardiologists. Therefore, the prevention of hypertension occupies a special place in medical practice and is the only way to quickly get rid of the painful symptoms of high blood pressure.
In order to improve public awareness of the disease and its risk factors within the framework of the School of Preventive Medicine on 02/16/2024, employees of the Department of OVP G. Semey, head of the Department, Professor A.A. Dyusupova, teachers G.T. Kamasheva, T.M. Belyaeva, T.I. Terekhova, A.S. Dzharmukhametova, together with interns of the GP 713 group, organized and conducted a seminar on the topic “Prevention of arterial hypertension” for the population related to this clinic. The event was also attended by doctors of this polyclinic.
