On 14.03.2024, a curatorial hour was held at the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology on the topic: “Prevention of domestic violence: criminal law and criminological aspects. Legal mechanisms for ensuring the value of parental legal relations”. Participants: students of the group #5108.

The curator Almagambetova A.A. made a welcoming speech to the 5th year students of Semey Medical University. In her speech, she highlighted that the prevention of domestic violence is aimed at protecting the constitutional rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of man and citizen in the field of family and domestic relations. As well as the prevention and suppression of domestic violence, the identification and elimination of the causes and conditions conducive to their commission. Domestic violence is an intentional act that causes or contains a threat of causing physical and mental suffering and property damage.

The types of domestic violence (sexual, psychological, physical, economic) are considered. Principles of prevention of domestic violence. Measures of individual prevention of domestic violence. Criminal law and criminological aspects. New values in child-parent relations. Legal relations between parents and children. One of them is legal relations – these are public relations in which the parties are linked by mutual legal rights and obligations protected by the state. The students took an active part and asked clarifying questions. It is very important to create a good relationship between parents and children!
