On March 14, 2024, the “Korisu kuni” celebration was held at the Department of Physiological Disciplines named after Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan T. A. Nazarova.
This day is also called the Amal holiday. On the day of the meeting, the younger ones go to the elders’ house to see them. There is a superstition that you need to open the doors of at least three houses. Neighbors congratulate each other “Happy New Year” and wish “Long life!” On the day of the meeting, past grievances are forgiven, enmity is forgotten, neighbors invite each other to a feast and wish the families and relatives of the guests health and prosperity.
On this day, teaching staff of several departments and employees of the structural division of the main building of our university were invited. Our department organized a festive table, which included national meat (kazy, karta, zhaya), dairy (nauryz kozhe, kumys, katyk, kurt) and flour (shelpek, bauyrsak, zhent, sanza, brushwood) delicacies. The invited guests expressed their gratitude for the organized event, because in the everyday hustle and bustle we are not always able to meet and communicate.
