At the Department of General Medical Practice of the Ust-Kamenogorsk branch on May 10, 2024, under the supervision of curator Sh.D Yensibayeva curatorial hour “Sagadat Nurmagambetov: A unique personality” was held with the participation of interns of the 733GP group, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Hero of the Soviet Union, former First Minister of Defense of the independent Republic of Kazakhstan, Army General Sagadat Nurmagambetov.

       Nurmaganbetov Sagadat Kozhakhmetov was born on May 25, 1924 in Akkol district of Akmola region. Sagadat Nurmaganbetov went to World War II in July 1942. In the same year, he studied for the first time at the machine gunners’ school in Turkmenistan. After that, as a platoon commander, blood is poured into the front. He fought on the 1st Belorussian Front, in the North Caucasus, in Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, and Germany. He commanded a machine gun platoon, a company, and an infantry battalion of the 5th Army. He participated in the attack on Hitler’s office.

“People’s Hero” Sagadat Nurmaganbetov is making every effort to strengthen the defense industry of Kazakhstan.

         Sagadat Nurmagambetov died on September 24, 2013 at the age of 90.
