On June 14, 2024, a round table “Integral GPA” was held at the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Topographic Anatomy named after prof. N.A. Khlopov. The event was attended by the department’s teachers and 2nd-year students of Medicine. The opening speech was given by docent Tokesheva A.M., who noted that from the next academic year, our university is introducing an integrated GPA for students. The introduction of the integrated GPA is aimed at the formation of a comprehensively developed individual with higher education, research skills, and high social activity. The round table participants discussed forms of implementation of research, social and sports activities of students. The methodology for calculating the integral GPA caused an active discussion among students: in their opinion, the share of research skills is overstated, and the share of social competencies is understated. Summing up the results of the round table, docent Tokesheva A.M. emphasized that the introduction of integral GPA will help increase the competitiveness of our graduates.
