On June 13, 2024, the final stage of the regional competitions of ambulance teams was held in the RSE on the REM “Semey Ambulance Station” on the eve of the professional holiday – Medical Worker Day. The experience of holding such competitions was borrowed from the emergency medical services of Europe, where similar championships have been held for many years. Such tournaments help teams not only improve their qualifications, but also demonstrate the importance of teamwork and coordinated work of emergency medical workers. The jury and examiners assessed the work of the ambulance teams according to the following criteria: quality of emergency care, inspection of the scene, organization of the work of medical personnel at the scene, initial examination of the patient, recognition of conditions, transportation of the patient, etc. The jury’s assessment was objective since the chairman of the jury included teachers of the Semey Medical University from the Department of Emergency Medicine named after Professor Corresponding Member of NANS of RK A.Z. Dyussupov – the chief freelance pulmonologist of the region, PhD Urazalina Zh.M., traumatologist of the highest category, PhD Kozykenov A.A., teacher from the Department of Simulation and Educational Technologies – BLS, ACLS Instructor Smagulova Zh.I. and others. Six teams participated in the competition, the Grand Prix prize was awarded to team No. 6.
