At the department of the Ust-Kamenogorsk branch of the NAO  MUS in Semey, a summer school was held on June 19, 2024. Summer school is a system of additional educational services for 1st year students of the specialty “General Medical Practice”. Theme of the summer school: “Diabetes mellitus and complications of diabetes mellitus.” The urgency of the problem is due to the scale of the spread of diabetes mellitus. The incidence increases annually in all countries by 5-7%, and doubles every 12-15 years. Today, diabetes mellitus is one of the three diseases that most often lead to disability and death of people. The event was held with the participation of students of group 631 and the assistant of the Department of General Medical Practice Nigmanova G.E. .

The goal of the summer school is to expand and deepen students’ knowledge of diabetes. Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical exercises.
