The military department of the Semey Medical University, NCJSC pays special attention to the history, cultural heritage and values of our nation.

The main purpose of the visit on September 21, 2023 to the Literary and Memorial Museum of Abai in Semey, students of the 4217 group, under the leadership of the head of the military department, Colonel of the medical service Sh.Orynbassarov, was the education of the younger generation of a sense of patriotism and love for their country.

This museum is a cultural institution where the materials of the life and work of Abai Kunanbayev are collected.

The museum was opened in the city of Semey on October 16, 1940 and was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of the writer and poet.

Archival documents, Abai’s autographs, photographs, rare books, periodicals of Abai’s time, works of fine art, ethnographic exhibits handed over by Abai in 1885, Abai’s personal belongings, works by the successors of Abai’s literary traditions, their translations into the languages of the peoples of the world are on display.
