On November 3, 2023, under the guidance of the assistant of the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Rehabilitation named after D.M. Tusupova Dauletzharova Zh.K., interns of the general practice of the 719 group conducted sanitary and educational work on the topic “What do you need to know about a stroke?” dedicated to the week of the fight against stroke.
This event was held in the adult department on the basis of the “KSU Center for Habilitation and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities of the Abai region”. The purpose of this sanitary and educational work was to raise awareness of patients about the problem of stroke, preventive measures, and risk factors for the occurrence of this disease. For general information, interns compiled and distributed an information booklet describing the signs of stroke, risk factors such as high blood pressure, low physical activity, smoking, diabetes, etc. During the sanitary and educational work, patients actively participated and asked their questions concerning stroke prevention and rehabilitation measures after a stroke. As a result of this work, feedback was received from patients and the following recommendations were given: knowledge of the signs of stroke and the order of independent actions and actions surrounding in case of their occurrence, timely passage of preventive medical examinations, blood pressure monitoring, as well as correction of risk factors.[/vc_column_text]
