The UN World Health Organization (WHO) has declared monkeypox a public health emergency of international concern. This decision was made due to the rapid spread of a new strain of the disease known as clade 1b. The epicenter of the current outbreak is the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. On August 23, 2024, 2022, a seminar “Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of monkeypox” was held at the Auezov station of ambulance and emergency medical care in the Abay region. The etiology, epidemiology, clinical picture, differential diagnosis and treatment of monkeypox were covered. The algorithm for providing medical care at the level of ambulance and emergency medical care and prevention for monkeypox was analyzed in detail.
