Round table “Smallpox of monkeys”

On August 14, the WHO Director-General announced that, in accordance with International Health Regulations, the sharp rise in the incidence of smallpox in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and other African countries constitutes a public health emergency of international importance.

On September 4, a round table “Smallpox of monkeys” was held with the participation of 5th year bachelors of the specialty “Dentistry” and “General Medicine” and interns of the 6th year of the specialty “Dentistry”.

Students of the 5318 group of the Faculty of General Medicine with a teacher, associate professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenerology and Immunology Smail E.M. prepared a lecture in which they revealed the issues of the history of the disease, epidemiology, clinic, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of smallpox of monkeys. During the round table, there was a discussion on the topic of the lecture.
