Drug addiction prevention among students of NCJSC “Semey Medical University”
On October 1, 2024, a meeting was held for students of the 1st year of the EP “Medicine“ and EP “Pediatrics“ on the topic: “Drug addiction prevention. Criminal liability for the commission of a crime in the field of illicit drug trafficking“. The main purpose of the meeting is to prevent drug addiction and explain to students about the dangers of drugs. The lecturers were the assistant of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, Ph.D. Zhanybekov S.D. and student 5108 of the EP “General Medicine“ Toleukhanova T. The students were provided with information about the types of surfactants, about the harm that drugs cause both to human health and to the foundations of society. Recommendations for preventive work in the youth environment were also announced. During the meeting, the senior operative of the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the PD of the Abai region, police Lieutenant Colonel Gaukhar Serikkyzy Espayeva had a speech and introduced the students to the legal aspects of combating drug addiction and drug trafficking. By the end of the meeting, the students received answers to their questions.
