On February 7, 2025, a seminar-training on the topic “Family and School Cooperation: Effective Approaches to the Education and Support of Children with ASD” was held at Secondary School No. 17. The event was organized in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Abai Region, the Regional Innovative and Methodological Center, and the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology of NAO “MUS.”

The purpose of this seminar-training was to enhance competence in the field of inclusive education by improving the theoretical knowledge of parents and teachers, with a focus on modern research on the education and support of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Additionally, practical tools for correctional and educational work were provided.

The Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, T.M. Moldagaliev, and the Deputy Head of the Department, A.U. Yermekbayev, gave a presentation to parents and teachers on the topic: “Clinical Manifestations of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Early Signs of Autism, and Diagnostic Methods.”

It is important to understand that early diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders plays a crucial role, as it influences the timely, accurate, and appropriate habilitation strategy, as well as the development of an adaptive and individualized educational program for children with ASD.

One of the main tasks of specialists in the fields of pedagogy, psychology, healthcare, and, most importantly, parents, is the successful socialization of the child in society.
