Department of Hospital Surgery, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation

Semipalatinsk Medical Institute was organized in 1957 on the basis of the surgical and traumatology departments of the regional hospital. Its first head was the rector of the Institute, Honored Scientist, Professor K.Ch. Chuvakov. At that time, associate professors worked at the department – M.A. Likhtentul, I.K. Karamendin, N.E. Potaturkina, A.A. Koch, E.M. Eisenberg.

From 1964 to 1967, the department was headed by Associate Professor I.I. Shushkovsky. All these years, the scientific direction of the department has been diseases and injuries of bones and joints, emergency surgery of abdominal organs.

From 1967 to 1970, the department was headed by Professor A.I. Baryshnikov, from 1970 to 1972 – Associate Professor V.I. Rusanov, and from 1972 to 1976 – Professor M.D. Arslanov. From 1976 to 1981, the department was headed by Professor S.N. Zakharov. The study of suppurative lung diseases continues (V.K.’s assistants Ostrovsky, V.A. Ermolaev), intestinal fistulas, abdominal hernias (assistants V.F. Zonov, V.A. Ridges), liver diseases (associate professor V.A. Baskakov), thyroid diseases (associate Professor A.A. Almagambetov), aortic and arterial diseases (associate professor A.M. Yagudin).

From 1982 to 1996, the department was headed by Professor M.G. Kutyakov. Scientific direction of the clinic: surgical gastroenterology. Organ-preserving operations for duodenal ulcer have been widely introduced.

From 1996 to 2013, the department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor N.R. Rakhmetov.

Since 2013, he has been working as the head of the Department of Hospital and Pediatric Surgery, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Aimagambetov Meirbek Zhaksybekovich. The scientific direction of the clinic: hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, endocrine surgery, abdominal hernias, surgical gastroenterology.

Under the leadership of Aimagambetov Meyrbek Zhaksybekovich, 3 PhD doctoral (Raimkhanov A.D., Auenov M.A., Abdrakhmanov S.T.) and 6 master’s degree (Abdrakhmanov S.T., Serikbayuly D., Nechuchkina V.V., Kosaeva S.B., Masalov A.E., Akhmetov A.Zh.) have been defended to date dissertations in the specialty of medicine. He is also the supervisor of 4 PhD doctoral students.

The course of anesthesiology and resuscitation was opened in 1971 by assistant Muratov B.Sh. in 1973, as part of the Department of Hospital Surgery, assistants Muratov B.Sh. and A.N. Semakov worked on the staff of the course.

In 1975, the course functions separately with the head Bessonov A.M. and assistants: PhD Tuleutaev T.B. and the above-mentioned two employees. In 1980, the course was headed by T.B. Tuleutaev as the chosen one by competition.

In 1990, on the initiative of Associate Professor Tuleutaev T.B., the course was reorganized into the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation as part of the head of the department Tuleutaev T.B., assistant Tleubaev M.G., Bukhanchenko A.G., Muratov B.Sh., Abdrakhmanova M.N.

In 1996, in connection with the reorganization of the department, the department was disbanded and the responsible for the course is Tuleutaev T.B. together with the internship supervisor associate professor Kuluspaev E.S. Course employee assistant Zhetimkarinova A.D.

In 1992, the textbook “Zhurek-okpe resuscitation” was published at the course of anesthesiology and resuscitation.

The staff of the department worked at two bases – the Regional Hospital and the gynecology center “Zhamilya”.

Due to the change in the academic load in 1996, the course was disbanded and became part of the Department of Hospital Surgery. The course functioned independently until 2013.

2013 disbanded in the course of anesthesiology and resuscitation as part of the Department of internship in surgery. 2013-2016 the head of the course of anesthesiology and resuscitation was associate professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences Kuluspaev E.S. Kuluspaev E.S. is one of the authors on the development of RUP, TUP and syllabuses of the internship in 2013 for the training of a doctor in the specialty “General Medicine”.

In 2016-2018, the responsible course was a master’s degree, a non-anesthesiologist- resuscitator of the highest category Karibaeva A.E. developed syllabuses for interns obstetricians and gynecologists of the 6th, 7th year

In 2018, under the guidance of M.K. Syzdykbayev, MD, the course was reorganized into the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation. In 1997 he graduated from Semipalatinsk Medical Institute. 2003 defended his PhD thesis in Russia. 2005-2008. According to the Bolashak program, he entered the doctoral program. He lectures residents, interns, and his colleagues in two languages (Russian and English).

Since 2022, the department has been reorganized into the Department of Hospital Surgery , Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, in connection with the merger with the Department of Hospital Surgery under the leadership of Professor , Doctor of Medical Sciences Aimagambetov M. Zh. Currently, the course of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation includes acting Professor , Doctor of Medical Sciences Syzdykbayev M.K. and 5 main assistants: Alpishcheva S.V., Muratkhanova Zh. M., Tleubaeva M.B., Ashubaeva F.B., Temirgaliev M.B. and lobarant Yesilkanova A.O. The Cathedral staff carry out a significant clinical load on clinical bases, are engaged in scientific work, the introduction of new methods in anesthesiology and resuscitation into practical healthcare. They publish scientific articles together with doctors at clinical bases. Currently, the staff of the department are located at 7 clinical bases.
