On February 17, 2023, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health Tokesheva Sh.M. together with representatives of the RSU “Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Abai region of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan held an online seminar for 4th year students of the specialty “Public Health”. The topic of the seminar: “Organization of measures for control and supervision by state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance bodies.

Associate Professor Tokesheva Sh.M. acquainted the students with the organizational and legal foundations of the state sanitary and epidemiological supervision (SEN), the structure of the bodies of the SEN of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the main regulatory legal acts in the field of sanitary and epidemiological supervision.

The head of the Department of supervision and control over the objects of education and upbringing Zhakiyanova G.M. provided information on the criteria for assessing the degree of risk in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population, the distribution of objects of control and supervision according to the degree of risk, the current forms of state control. Issues related to the procedure for processing documentation based on the results of the inspection of supervised facilities were considered in detail.

Students asked questions of interest to them, to which the lecturers gave exhaustive answers. Conducting such seminars contributes to the development of necessary competencies by students.
